How to use jumper cables
Make sure both cars are off.
Connect the red alligator clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.
Connect the other red alligator clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the other car’s battery.
Connect the black alligator clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the other car’s battery.
Connect the other black alligator clamp to a bare metal surface on the car with the dead battery.
